Take the lead in Lead:

From 2013 the EU require the permisable amount of lead in driking water to be reduced from its current level of 25ppm to just 10ppm.

Whilst most water companies ensure that even this lower level is not compromised, the only sustainable way of ensuring that lead is not present in drinking water is to remove it entirely.
