Following the coldest December on record (December 2010), we have developed our new Meter Cozy, designed to wrap around water meters and similar in unheated or unprotected chambers. 

Like any water apparatus, a water meter needs to be protected against freezing - Water Regulations define protection as being where the location of the water meter is heated for 12 hours per day or less.

Meter Cozy acts like a thermal blanket and holds heat within the meter / fitting beyond a point where freezing might reasonably be expected to occur.

Meter Cozy would also inhibit the build up of condensation arround a water meter as often found if left under a kitchen sink, which often causes consternation to the home occupier.
